Re Church is the latest Church in Nottingham formed by the merging of Renaissance Church and Carlton Community Church, a journey which began in June 2022 and culminating in the merging of the 2 Churches on Sunday 22nd January 2023.
This followed a period of careful consideration and prayerful deliberation by the leadership teams of both churches to find the mind of God. Out of this, the leaders of both churches came to the same belief as the Scripture says in Acts 15:28, “It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us”, and made the decision that it was right in God, for the two churches to join together as one, under the leadership of Remi & Pearl Anekwe as Pastors of the combined congregation.
Though Re Church is relatively new, it continues a work of God that started in the city of Nottingham in 1924, which brought about a renewal of the Spirit and birthed other churches in the city and missionary endeavours beyond these shores.
Re Church is based in the East side of Nottingham and we believe the East side of the city is key to God moving in the city of Nottingham. Re Church is strategically located on a hill and we believe that this is a prophetic statement of what we are called to be: a light on a hill for the local community reaching far into the city.
